Chinese Dance Meme Generator

Chinese dance memes arrive faster than most people can film them. The shan shen bu is the current one; before it there were other short routines that spread the same way: a simple move, a deadpan face and a situation that makes the move funny.

This generator is built around that format. Choose the shan shen bu routine, add a photo or a prompt, and render a vertical clip you can post with the sound of the week.

Images on this page are AI-generated illustrations, not records of a real event.

One routine, four scenes

Blue practice hall, office escape, pet living room and courtyard duo. The scene is the joke; the routine is the recognisable part.

Photo or prompt

A photo keeps a specific person or pet. A prompt is the fast way to test a scene before you upload anything.

Built for the feed

9:16 by default, 10–15 seconds, MP4 download, no watermark. Add the sound in the app.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick the trend

Use the shan shen bu preset. The four beats are already written into the prompt.

  2. 2

    Add your material

One or two photos, or a written scene. Full-body daylight photos give the best likeness.

  3. 3

    Choose the scene and length

The studio default is 10 seconds at 720p for 30 credits. 12 seconds is 35; 1080p costs more.

  4. 4

    Render, download, post

The clip is silent and unwatermarked. Add a platform sound and label it as AI-generated.

Start from a tested prompt

Each prompt is complete: subject, scene, camera and what must not change. Copy it or open the studio with it pre-filled.

A performer finishing a deadpan head sway in a modern living room, vertical frame

Blue practice hall

The original studio look: four beats, one fixed camera, deadpan face.

Prompt (English)

Bright blue mirrored dance studio with a wooden floor and a ballet barre along one wall. The subject performs the shan shen bu (闪身步) flash-step routine in four clear beats: first a sudden sideways dodge, stepping the feet wide apart and dropping low before springing back to centre; second a langzi kick, lifting one knee and kicking the foot out to the side while the opposite arm swings across; third a bear shake, both arms flinging up and outward while the shoulders and whole body shake; fourth a deadpan head sway that ends with a direct look into the camera. If a reference photo is attached, keep the exact face, hair, body, outfit and background; do not add a second person. Fixed phone camera at chest height, one continuous take, vertical 9:16, no text, no watermark.

Office escape

Dodge out of work in an open-plan corridor, then finish the routine.

Prompt (English)

A plain open-plan office corridor with desks, monitors and a colleague walking past in the background. The subject performs the shan shen bu routine in four beats: a sideways flash step, a knee-lift side kick with an arm swing, a full-body shake with both arms up, then a deadpan head sway and a look into the camera. If a reference photo is attached, keep the exact face, hair, body and outfit. Fixed phone camera at chest height, one continuous take, vertical 9:16, no text, no watermark.

Pet living room

A cat or dog does a playful version on its hind legs at home.

Prompt (English)

A cosy living room with a sofa, a rug and warm afternoon window light. The cat or dog from the reference photo stands on its hind legs and does a playful four-beat shan shen bu: a quick side-step, a little kick, a full-body shake of the fur, then a head sway to the camera. Keep the animal's exact breed, fur colour and markings; do not turn it into a person and do not add a second animal. Fixed low camera, one continuous take, vertical 9:16, no text, no watermark.

What makes a dance meme work

A dance meme needs a move that is recognisable in one second, a setting that is ordinary, and a face that does not break. The shan shen bu has all three: a wide side-step, a boring office or living room, and a deadpan expression.

The remix is where the humour lives. An office worker dodging a task, a cat doing the routine, two people in sync: the move stays the same and the situation changes. That is why the format survives longer than a single video.

Choosing between a photo and a prompt

A photo is better when the person or pet is the point. A prompt is better when the scene is the point, or when you do not have a usable photo. The two paths cost the same and use the same four-beat routine.

Do not upload a photo of someone who has not agreed to appear. Do not use a public figure to imply endorsement. The generator is for your own material, not for impersonation.

What this generator does not do

It does not copy an existing viral video, its audio or its performers. It does not guarantee a perfect four-beat count, and it does not replace a filmed performance when realism is the goal. It generates a new, labelable clip from the material you provide.

It also cannot promise that a specific prompt will go viral, and it does not add trending sounds for you. The output is a silent MP4; the sound, caption and posting rhythm are still your decisions.

Questions people ask

Is this only for shan shen bu?

Today the studio is built around that routine. The same pipeline can support other four-beat trends later; the page will say so when it does.

Can I generate a meme from a text prompt?

Yes. Describe the person and the room, keep the four-beat sentence, and render.

Do I need a TikTok account?

No. You need an account here to keep your renders, and a platform account to post.

How much does one clip cost?

30 credits for a 10-second 720p clip; 35 for a 12-second standard video. The $9.90 Single pack covers one standard video.

Can I use the clip commercially?

Paid renders can be used commercially. You are responsible for the rights to the source photo and for AI disclosure.

Will the clip have a watermark?

No. Paid renders are clean MP4 files.
